We design buildings with the intent of getting them built. As simple as that seems it’s sometimes a revolutionary concept in this industry. As electrical engineers we understand that our design solutions aren’t an academic exercise, but rather a framework for a complex and multi-faceted construction process.

The design and construction process can be full of friction, and nothing is easy. Our goal is to change the industry and make that process better. As electrical engineers we are in a unique position, sandwiched between architects and contractors, or sometimes even working directly for owners. We strive to influence the players around us to drive towards a more collaborative build environment. Our goal is to provide a better customer experience through these efforts. It’s probably one of the reasons our clients request us on their projects and why they view us differently. The industry is rapidly moving towards integrated design and construction teams as the new normal, and we like to think that we aren’t just embracing that movement — we’re leading it. Today’s buildings are rapidly evolving. Technology is allowing us to directly interact with our environments in ways that didn’t seem possible even a decade ago. Electrical system design is no longer as simple as lighting and power design overlaid onto an architectural background.
